Dehradun, September 23, 2026: A one-day, multi-purpose ‘Seva Setu’ camp was organised at Mohna Gram Panchayat in the Chakrata Assembly constituency on Wednesday under the Seva Setu campaign. More than 645 villagers participated in the camp, where they received information about various welfare schemes of the Central and Uttarakhand governments and availed themselves of departmental services.
The camp was attended by Geetaram Gaud, Vice Chairman of the Tribal Council (Minister of State rank), and Asha Verma, Block Pramukh of Chakrata. They inspected the stalls set up by different departments and reviewed the arrangements. The dignitaries also distributed benefit letters and certificates to eligible beneficiaries under various government schemes.

11 of 12 Grievances Resolved on the Spot
During the camp, villagers submitted 12 public grievances and complaints, out of which 11 were resolved on the spot. Officials of the concerned department were directed to ensure the prompt resolution of the remaining complaint.
In addition, certificates related to income, caste, land records (Khata-Khatauni) and social pensions were issued on the spot to 99 eligible beneficiaries, helping residents access essential government services more conveniently.
Focus on Reaching the Last-Mile Beneficiaries
Addressing the gathering, Tribal Council Vice Chairman Geetaram Gaud said that the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ is being organised across Uttarakhand from September 17 to October 18. Several public-oriented programmes, including Aashirwad Ka Diya, Mere Sapno Ka Bharat, Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra and Sushasan Seva Samvad, are being conducted as part of the campaign.
He stated that the government’s priority is to ensure the direct delivery of welfare schemes to the last person living in remote areas. Such camps, he added, play an important role in providing multiple departmental services under one roof and resolving public grievances promptly.
Services of Multiple Departments Available Under One Roof
Representatives from the Social Welfare, Child Development, Agriculture, Fisheries, Health and Horticulture departments, among others, participated in the camp. Villagers were provided information about government schemes, eligibility criteria and departmental services, while eligible beneficiaries received the required certificates and benefits.
Senior Block Pramukh Fateh Singh, Junior Block Pramukh Sulochana Rawat, local BDC members, Gram Pradhans, other public representatives and a large number of villagers were present on the occasion.
