    Independence Day 2026: 14 Uttarakhand Police Personnel to Receive Chief Minister’s Commendation Medals

    On the occasion of Independence Day 2026, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will honour 14 personnel of the Uttarakhand Police with the Chief Minister’s Commendation Medal for their outstanding and commendable services.

    According to Uttarakhand DGP Deepam Seth, eight police officers and personnel have been selected for the medal on the basis of their service, while six others have been chosen for their distinguished work.

    The DGP congratulated all the selected personnel and said the recognition reflects their dedication, discipline and commitment to duty. He said the honour would encourage police personnel across the state to perform their responsibilities with greater dedication and professionalism.

    Eight Police Personnel Selected for Service

    The following eight officers and personnel have been selected for the Chief Minister’s Commendation Medal on the basis of their service record:

    • Nilesh Anand Bharne – Inspector General of Police, Cyber/STF, Uttarakhand
    • Revadhar Mathpal – Additional Superintendent of Police, Police Telecommunications, Nainital
    • Bhaskar Lal Shah – Deputy Superintendent of Police, Secretariat/Assembly Security, Uttarakhand
    • Trivendra Singh Rana – Deputy Superintendent of Police, Chamoli
    • Manish Jaswal – Deputy Superintendent of Police, Police Headquarters, Uttarakhand
    • Girbar Singh Rawat – Inspector, Civil Police, Police Headquarters, Uttarakhand
    • Mohammad Yasin – Inspector, Civil Police, Police Headquarters, Uttarakhand
    • Dinesh Chandra – Platoon Commander, 40th Battalion PAC

    Six Selected for Distinguished Work

    Six police personnel have been selected for the Chief Minister’s Commendation Medal for distinguished work.

    These include:

    • Late Manoj Manral – Inspector, Intelligence, LIU Dehradun (Posthumous)
    • Late Vinod Kumar – Sub-Inspector, Civil Police, Tehri Garhwal (Posthumous)
    • Sunil Kumar Meena – Inspector General of Police, Personnel, Uttarakhand
    • Navneet Singh – Senior Superintendent of Police, Haridwar
    • Shantanu Parashar – Additional Superintendent of Police, Cyber Crime Police Station, Dehradun
    • Manoj Aswal – Deputy Superintendent of Police, Intelligence

    Recognition of Dedicated Police Service

    The announcement comes as part of the Independence Day celebrations and recognises police personnel who have demonstrated dedication, professional excellence and commitment to public service.

    The inclusion of two personnel for the honour posthumously also acknowledges their contribution and service to the department.

    The medals are expected to be presented during the Independence Day celebrations, with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami honouring the selected police personnel.

    The Uttarakhand Police leadership has expressed confidence that such recognition will motivate the force to continue carrying out its duties with integrity, courage and a strong sense of public responsibility.
