Dehradun:
A striking example of the Uttarakhand government’s quick response mechanism was witnessed during the “Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar” multi-purpose camp held in Sahaspur, where a local woman’s request for assistance was resolved within hours.

During the camp, local resident Babli Gupta submitted a representation to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, explaining that she wanted to earn a livelihood by making jute bags but was unable to start her work due to the lack of a sewing machine.
Taking immediate note of her request, the Chief Minister directed the concerned officials on the spot to provide her with a sewing machine without delay.
Following the Chief Minister’s instructions, the administration acted swiftly. Banshidhar Tiwari, Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister, coordinated with the concerned departments and closely monitored the process to ensure that the directive was implemented immediately. As a result, Babli Gupta received the sewing machine by the same evening.
Officials said the incident reflects the government’s focus on prompt grievance redressal and effective implementation of the Chief Minister’s directives. The coordination between departments ensured that the assistance reached the beneficiary without unnecessary delays.
Expressing her gratitude after receiving the sewing machine, Babli Gupta thanked Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the administration, saying that the support had given a significant boost to her dream of becoming self-reliant through self-employment.
