Dharampur MLA Vinod Chamoli and MDDA Vice Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari conducted an on-site inspection of Arhat Bazaar to review the progress of ongoing development works. Officials informed them that the construction of the new Arhat Bazaar has been completed.

During the inspection, MLA Vinod Chamoli expressed satisfaction with the development work and directed officials to expedite the remaining processes. He specifically instructed that the allocation process for shops and plots must be completed by September, so that traders can benefit from the new facility without further delay.
Parking Charges to Be Fixed
The parking arrangements at Arhat Bazaar were also reviewed. Officials were directed to determine appropriate parking charges to ensure systematic management of the facility. The MLA also stressed that the convenience of local residents should be kept in mind.
Coordination with NHAI
Traffic management around Arhat Bazaar was another key issue discussed during the inspection. Chamoli directed officials to coordinate with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to ensure smooth traffic flow and better connectivity around the market.
MDDA Vice Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari said that the planned development of Arhat Bazaar is among the authority’s priorities. He directed officials to complete all remaining works within the stipulated timeline and target the completion of the allocation process by September.
MDDA Secretary Mohan Singh Barnia said that necessary directions have been issued to the concerned officials following the inspection. Coordination with relevant departments will also be undertaken to improve parking and traffic management around the market.
