A one-day free health check-up camp was organized by the Rishikesh Municipal Corporation on Wednesday at Shanti Prapann Sharma Government Hospital under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ fortnight.
The camp was inaugurated in the presence of Mayor Shambhu Paswan. Environmental workers, sanitation workers and other municipal employees underwent health examinations, including blood pressure, blood sugar, eye check-ups and general health screening.

Medical Superintendent Dr. Anand Rana and his medical team provided necessary medical consultations and distributed medicines free of cost.
Mayor Shambhu Paswan said that environmental workers play a vital role in keeping Rishikesh clean and healthy. He said the health, safety and welfare of sanitation workers remain among the Municipal Corporation’s key priorities.
The medical team also sensitized workers about seasonal diseases, personal hygiene and workplace safety. They were advised to regularly use protective equipment while carrying out sanitation duties and not to ignore health-related problems.
Sanitation inspectors Amit Negi, Rajan Bhatt and Santosh Gusain, along with sanitation supervisors and environmental workers, were present during the camp.
