A key administrative change has taken place in the District Information Department of Dehradun. Assistant Director and District Information Officer Badri Chand Negi was given a warm farewell on his transfer, while Priyanka Joshi has formally assumed charge as the new District Information Officer.
A farewell ceremony was organized by the District Information family, where officers and staff appreciated Negi’s tenure and extended their best wishes for his future. He was honored with bouquets and mementos during the event.
Badri Chand Negi had taken charge as District Information Officer on January 3, 2022. During his nearly four-year tenure, he carried out his responsibilities with dedication, transparency, and efficiency. Under his leadership, the information system and public relations activities gained momentum, and a strong sense of teamwork was fostered within the department.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Joshi officially took charge of the post on April 21, 2026. A brief welcomel program was held in the office where officials and staff greeted her and extended their best wishes
After assuming office, Priyanka Joshi emphasized the importance of teamwork and stated that she would focus on making public outreach activities more effective while giving new direction and pace to departmental work.
