DEHRADUN:

MEDICAL RELIEF POSTS AT ENTRY POINTS
The Dehradun district health department will establish Medical Relief Posts (MRP) at major entry points of the Char Dham route to provide immediate medical assistance to pilgrims.
According to Chief Medical Officer Dr. Manoj Sharma, Medical Relief Posts will be set up near the Roadways Bus Stand in Rishikesh and near the bus stand in Herbertpur.
Screening points will also be established at these locations to monitor the health of incoming pilgrims and provide timely medical support if required.
ADDITIONAL SCREENING POINTS PLANNED
Apart from Rishikesh and Herbertpur, additional screening points will be established at:
-
Katapathar
-
Naya Gaon (Pelio area)
These screening centers will help in identifying health-related issues among pilgrims at an early stage.
24-HOUR MEDICAL SERVICES
As per officials, doctors and paramedical staff will be deployed round the clock at all Medical Relief Posts during the Char Dham Yatra.
-
Screening at Rishikesh will remain operational 24 hours.
-
Screening at Herbertpur will function from 8 AM to 8 PM, which may be extended depending on the number of pilgrims.
INSPECTION BEFORE YATRA BEGINS
Health officials informed that two weeks before the start of the Char Dham Yatra, teams will inspect all marked locations to ensure availability of medicines, medical equipment, and emergency facilities.
Doctors and additional medical staff from Dehradun will also be deployed in other districts along the yatra route as per requirement.
IMPORTANT STEP FOR PILGRIM SAFETY
The initiative by the health department is aimed at ensuring that devotees traveling to the Char Dham shrines do not face any health-related problems during the pilgrimage. The administration is focusing on strengthening healthcare arrangements for a safe and smooth yatra.
